Looking to subscribe to digital cable, high-speed Internet, or digital voice? Why don’t you subscribe to Comcast?
Here's what they offer..
Comcast Cable
Cable television has been a mainstay offering of Comcast for many years. Along with the cable service, Comcast provides video-on-demand, an electronic program guide, and other interactive features.
Comcast’s cable television offers a selection of over 275 channels. Subscriptions to high definition programming and seasonal sports programs are also available. Every package is different, but most contain premium movie channels such as HBO, Cinemax and Showtime.
Comcast Internet
If you have been using dial-up Internet up until now, you’re in for a surprise at the speed of Comcast’s Internet service. A subscription to Comcast’s Internet frees you from the limitations of a slow connection and opens up to you a whole world of possibilities online. The subscription also comes with a free wireless router so you can be online anywhere in your house, and McAfee Anti-Virus to protect your computer every time you’re connected.
Comcast Voice Calls
If you want to maximize your savings, consider getting your phone service from Comcast. On top of digital voice calls and 12 calling features, you also get unlimited long-distance phone calls at great value.
Choosing Comcast
While Comcast is one of the biggest communications companies in the world, with a wide range of services and top-of-the-line technologies, it is not without its flaws.
Comcast was the lowest rating company in terms of customer satisfaction in 2004 and 2007. In a separate survey, though, 43% of the respondents rated the cable company's performance as fair, 30% regarded it as poor and another 30% rated the cable company's performance as good.
With reasons both to get and not get a Comcast subscription, the decision is really up to you. Sometimes, the stability and triple play bundles of a major telecommunications provider are worth a few of the headaches that come with dealing with a company that big.
For some people, however, there really isn’t much choice since Comcast is the only company available in the area.
In that case… forewarned is forearmed! Rest assured, Comcast is working very hard to dispel the company reputation of poor customer support. Seriously. Try complaining on Twitter and Comcast customer service will quickly track you down and try to solve your problem.
Did You Know?
Comcast was formed as American Cable Systems in 1963, and then incorporated as Comcast Corporation in 1969. The name Comcast comes from the words “Communication” and “Broadcast.”
Over the years Comcast continued to grow, acquiring channels such as the E! Entertainment Television, Style Network and G4. Following an acquisition of 51% of NBC Universal in December 3, 2009, Comcast is now the biggest media conglomerate in the world.
